Application Instructions & FAQs

How to apply your label

Applying is super easy. Here's how...

      1. Choose your label, and peel it off the backing sheet with clean hands, avoiding touching the sticky side.

      2. Carefully line it up on your timber tile (from a corner is best)

      3. Smooth on with your finger to remove any air bubbles

      4. That’s it! All done! How clever are you?

How to adjust your label

The label allows for minor adjustments during application. If it has been completely pressed down, you won’t be able to reposition.

      1. Slowly peel back the part of the label that made contact with the timber tile.

      2. Reposition it from a corner, ensuring that it’s correctly lined up

      3. Smooth on with your finger to remove any air bubbles. All done!

FAQs

What are Tile Labels, and how do they work?

Tile Labels are adhesive picture prompts designed to pair perfectly with Second Scout timber tiles. They offer a flexible and customisable way to manage your family’s routines and activities, with a no-shine matte finish for a seamless look.

Are blank timber tiles included in the pack, or available separately to purchase?

Timber tiles are not included in the packs.

We’re currently working on new blank timber tile packs (register your interest here), but the most affordable way to use them is to apply the Tile Labels to the blank/reverse side of your existing Second Scout timber tiles.

Are these the same as the designs on the timber tiles?

Many of your favourites are still featured in the packs, however the Tile Labels offer a more expanded version with more variety and extra designs.

Do the labels have a shiny sticker look?

No way! Tile Labels have a no-shine matte finish that blends seamlessly with your timber tiles for a polished look.

Are the Tile Labels reusable?

Tile Labels are designed for a strong, long-lasting hold. They can be removed, however not reused.

Will the labels damage my timber tiles?

Nope! Tile Labels are designed to stick firmly but can be carefully removed without damaging your tiles (the labels can’t be reused however)

How do I apply Tile Labels?

You can see the easy peasy how to steps above.

What if I mess up applying the label?

No stress! The adhesive allows for minor adjustments during application. If you need help, check out the video above.

How many designs are in each pack?

Each pack usually includes 60 labels, however some have 20 labels. You can find this info on each of the product pages.

Can the labels handle regular use by kids?

Absolutely! The Tile Labels are made with a durable, strong hold to withstand little hands.

Can I use the labels on other surfaces?

Tile Labels are specifically designed to pair with our timber tiles for the best fit and finish. We can’t guarantee the same results on other surfaces.

What’s the difference between Tile Labels and preprinted timber tile packs?

Tile Labels offer more designs per pack and give you the flexibility to choose which prompts suit your family. They’re perfect if you want a customisable solution.

How many designs are available?

We have 16 packs covering everything from routines to school and celebrations. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of tile designs - you can check them all out here.

Can I write on the labels?

Our Blank Writable pack is perfect for creating your own prompts. The packs are sold with a brown Staedtler erasable marker to keep things matchy-matchy!

Are Tile Labels safe for kids?

Yes, the Tile Labels are suitable for children over 3 years old.

Are Tile Labels available individually?

Unfortunately not, they are sold in sheets and pre-packaged. As a small business, we’ve designed this new solution and bundled them into packs to keep things affordable and streamlined. We’ve worked hard incorporating customer feedback to make sure each pack offers as many options as possible to cater to all different families.

Do you do custom Tile Label designs?

Unfortunately, we aren’t set up to make custom tiles, but if you’d love to see something specific in a future range, feel free to let us know here.
